The Dante book club is BACKKKKKK

and better than ever (I hope)

Happy new year dear friends! 

Big news: the Dante book club is back in 2024, this time on Youtube!

This year, for my final installment of the Dante book club, I want to challenge myself to read and comment the ENTIRE Divine Comedy. 

Starting today, I will post a video about each canto every Wednesday and Friday. 

If all goes well, we’ll be done with the whole thing - Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, all 100 cantos!! - by the end of this year. 

This will be an opportunity for everyone new (and everyone who has fallen behind, you know who you are) to experience the book club from the beginning one last time. 

For those who are up to date and waiting for Paradiso, treat the Inferno and Purgatorio videos as your own personal recap.

For me, it will be an opportunity to add a visual dimension to the book club that I tried to incorporate with painting recommendations here and there but which never fully satisfied me. I also hope that the people who find written text less accessible will find this format more inclusive.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while - and even gave it a try at one point, but lacked the time to figure out how to make it everything I wanted. Now that I am in such a different place, I’m excited to make this little project into exactly what I had envisioned.
